It is so hard to comprehend the enormity of a loss. We often sit and wonder why? It truly makes us experience so many uncomfortable and unfamiliar feelings. It is hard to know what to do, what to say and how to manage the discomfort. It is normal to feel guilty, sad, confused, angry, lost, stunned, afraid and overwhelmed by the impact of the loss. Remember to be gentle with yourself, let your feelings come out as you experience them, find someone to talk to whom you trust. Be patient with yourself and remember that it takes time to heal. Finding a support group where others are coming together who understand your pain can be very healing.
